Who are we?
East Birmingham Schools Football Association (EBSFA) covers all schools football in the East district of Birmingham. Established in 1892, it was originally known as just Birmingham Schools Football Association (BSFA), missing the ‘East’ part from the official association name. This is due to the fact it was one of the original school football associations in the region and originally covered a larger area than East Birmingham. We have a long history in both schools and district football, dating back over 120 years!
In 2021 'East' was added to the start of our association name, making it easier for people to find us and associate us with the correct association. Our badge will be updated soon to reflect this.
We are also the parent association of East Birmingham Primary Schools Football Association (EBPSFA). The EBPSFA is part of our association, they organise and run all of the primary district football within our district.

What do we do?
EBSFA organise both inter-school football tournaments and district football teams, covering all primary and secondary schools in the East Birmingham district.
Secondary school football is organised through EBSFA.
Primary school football is organised through EBSFA - they organise and run official school football covering the 39 primary schools in our district. This includes primary inter-school football tournaments.
We are also the parent association of East Birmingham Primary Schools Football Association (EBPSFA). The EBPSFA is part of our association, they organise and run all of the primary district football within our district.
Who are we affiliated to?
We are affiliated to the following associations:
English Schools' Football Association
The ESFA are the governing body of schools’ football in England. We are affiliated with them and follow their guidance with regards to schools football.
West Midlands County Schools' Football Association
We are also affiliated to the WMCSFA to enable us to enter competitions run by them.
Birmingham Primary Schools' Football Association
The BPSFA oversee all of the primary district football in the seven districts of Birmingham. They organise the district BPSFA League and a number of district cup tournaments throughout the year. They work tirelessly to improve district football and are responsible for ensuring that all districts have the amazing facilities at Vale Stadium to use. Where do play our fixtures?
Thanks to the hard work of the Birmingham Primary Schools' Football Association, all Birmingham districts (including ours) currently play their BPSFA League fixtures at one venue - Vale Stadium in Castle Vale. Vale Stadium is the hub of Birmingham district football. It boasts FIFA accredited 3G pitches, changing rooms, sheltered stadium seating for spectators, match day refreshments and a clubhouse - a place for all teams to meet after the game to socialise and eat!
